Riley 1.5 brakes in scrapyard

Post by paulhumphries »

Dropped by the local scrapyard today and the front brakes / uprights are still there on the Riley 1.5 that has been there for a few months.
It's at F W McGuiness's, Longport, Stoke-on-Trent, ST6 4NL and is down the bottom of the big yard on right hand side - easy to spot.

Sorry but I checked and the whole rear axle has already gone.

You'd be beter off taking them off yourself and listing them on here 'For Sale'.
You're not going to lose out as they're a popular conversion and it means the parts will get used rather than crushed.

If I were local to stoke I'd be up there after them, fingers crossed the scrap man doesn't really care and asks something daft like a tenner for the lot. :D
What would Macgyver do..?

Pity about the axle - cos the big 8" rear brakes are fantastic on a Minor.
