Looking for PICK UP & advice please

Post by Coop160412 »

Looking to buy a decent morris or austin badged minor pick up in resonable stock condition

Theres a few on ebay at the mo` any opinions on these ? they seem to be priced around 5k :o

1 in particular has a rear canvas top c/w hoops, but ive noticed it doesnt have the timber cab surrounds or the side cleats. .........this right ?

i seem to recall as i have had a pick up & vans years ago the chassis /spring hangers & door piller bottoms were vulnarable . anything else i should look for ?

apologies if some of this should be in another section

i can post some e-bay links if required

Moved from for sale :) If it came from the factory with a canvas tilt, it should have the wooden rail and cleats. As for vulnerable areas, much the same as the cars, with the addition for the pick up (don't know the vans too well) of the lower rails of the cab back and the rear arches and light mountings. Oh, and the tailgate :D I've also found that thay are very frequently rotted out behind the front dampers where the toe board and bulkhead are joined - it's a SWINE of a repair, too :(
