Front brake sylinder part number

Post by overider »

Hi I have found a bad leak coming from my front brake cylinder following a fail on the MOT. The trouble is im booked on the roses run at the weekend and need a replacement quick. Dose any one know a modern part number I can quote to the local motor factors to find out if they stock one. If I go and ask for a front brake cylinder fore a Morris minor first they repeat the name a few times look vacant then ask what one of them is than just say computer says narrrr. If I have the part number, I am in with half a chance.

Don't forget that there is a Left/Right in each drum, get the right one!!
(or a pair if you're not sure which one it is then you'll have both).
Most decent motor factors will stock these and know exactly what they are, if yours doesn't then try another, or as BG says the specialists are the best bet..

 I wish, I left it at the MOT garage this morning and picked it up at teatime after work,
Contrary to popular belief, not all Morris minor owners are retired gentlemen

Often you have to encourage the Autoparts place to search under 'Rover' to find parts for the Minor!
Good excuse to take the Jag on the Roses run!
