Was someone here at MacDonalds last night!
I spotted a white traveller with a MMOC sticker there on my way home.

err I was only picking up a coffee at the time (no burgers for me)

Get stuffed ***** lol
theres actually one at Wick now apparently as they have a retail park of sorts - and a tesco too lucky so in so's but thats still a ferry trip and a day there and back :(
Inverness is the place though - first stop BK, do some shopping, then mc D's, some more shopping then KFC - HUGE bucket which gets mostly eaten before i get back to the ferry LOL Thats what i call a day out :-)

what really gets my goat is friday & saturday nights - maybe pop out for a beer in the evening - get back and guarantee there will be a BK ad on tv - its a bad bad craving !

Last year i had to go via Edinburgh airport to somewhere or other - purposely had no breakfast ready for the big BK binge - 2 whopper meals go large - never a crumb left - Oh i was distraught - they were doing works and the flipping food hall bit was closed for renovation - walked round the corner to see it boarded off - chin hit floor and was frozen to the spot !

Surprised there's nothing like that in Kirkwall. Franchising opportunity?

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

think it's been looked into Alex - you have to think sparsely located population of less than 20k - only just ender 15k live on the mainland 9or big island) think you need a bigger local audience than that to spina sheckle from a Mc D's franchise.
Used to know a chap had 3 and he started off with them flippin burgers, last i heard was doing very nicely.
2 or 3 years ago an entrepreneur built and opened a 10 pin bowling place in town which didnt last long at all, now being converted into office units.
Think the other thing is that a lot of people would be against a mc d's as it would sort of detract from the appeal of the nothingness here LOL mind you were hopefully going to get a tesco, got a Lidle about 18 months ago which is great as less ques in the other supermarket :-)
