I tried Firefox a while back when fed up with IE6, had some irritating problems (can't think what now), then moved to IE7 when it came out.

Been thinking of trying Opera (no, not singing with my voice! I must be the only Welshman who can't sing for toffee  ).

First things first, but not necessarily in that order.

me (another Kevin :-) ) running the latest one on auto update, with a couple of the plug ins - particularly love the flash blocker - means you dont see bandwidth swallowing slideshows or a lot of ads.

What i dont understand is that ive not been asked for UN or password on this site for well over a month when other people are being asked every time they log in - stands to reason must be a setting in windows or FF.

Just had a nosey -
Control panel -
Windows Security Centre-
Internet Options
Content tab
autocomplete settings button-
tick the box for usernames & passwords on forms

this is for XP pro so might differ depending on your OS

WARNING - DONT USE THIS IF ANYONE ELSE USES YOUR PC unless on a different user account

with that checked regardless of browser the next time you log in to anything it should say do you want windows to remember your UN PW or just UN etc
I couldnt use a computer if had to log in to everything used allday long would drive me mad(der)

I too use FF and find that the "quote selected" does not work on quick reply. Despite working in IT (or perhaps becuase I do:o) I've not got to the bottom of it. It's a price worth paying for all the other plus points. As it is a problem on several different machines I would argue that the site codiing needs to be checked against a FF browser and not just IE.
