i posted a thread the other day having problems on missfire,i managed to trace it to a sticky valve,i removed the head and found it was well worn out,so i found a replacement engine,ive removed my old engine tonite after work,but i had abit of a fight with it,i was using a crane and a 2 post ramp,the sump was touching the front crossmember when i pulled it forward,and i didnt quiet get enough clearance at the bell housing,i then tilted the engine at a angle to try and over come the problem,and i went and caught the imput shaft on the pressure plate,the thrust ring poped off,but it looks like somethings adrift in the pressure plate now its lets say twisted,
the rads out and everything,is there an easier way?what am i doing wrong?i dont wanna mangle up my newly painted engine tommorow. 
its a sweet engine and no smoke!!!!one thing i will say its abit flat,i set the timming up at 3 deg as per the book,fitted new points plugs coil everything to be honest,i havent touched the carb yet although i think its running a tad rich.i was thinking maybe the vacume advance is up the greek,ill try and suck on it and see what happens.but i well pleased and shes all painted up looking great.thanks for the help,just need help now getting her pulling abit better!!
