Phillips TV

Hi, I have a Philips wide screen TV that will not work. When I turn it on the red power light comes on bright. Then I normally select a channel and the light goes dimmer and the channel appears. But now when I select a channel the red light goes dimmer and then flashes(blinks) constantly and the screen stays black . Any TV repair men out there that knowes the blinking codes?

my set top box does that blinking stuff when it's downloading updates to make itself work

. I have to leave it for 10 mins or so and it eventually resets itself and comes on

Dont think its that its been power off for a while now but still dead. when it first did it i turned it off and back on again and it was ok. But now its Dead.
