Getting a caravan off it's chassis ?

Post by JustinMinor1000 »

Is this even possible ? The idea is we want a tackroom the idea was to get a caravan and et it sink into the mud while the creepers grow around it .. Rather than just lose the wheels and dropping it down .. I rather wanted to put down left to right wood beamsand put the caravan onto it without a chassis. How do you do this ? How do you lift a carvan off a chassis and then drop it down again ?

very carefully .... boom boom
ive actually got a small caravan that thinking of doing a similar thing too - nothing wrong with the cvan itself but fancy robbing it of its chassis to modify to make a lightweight trailer for the trav.
trouble is all seems quite integral and will probably end up with a chassis and a lot of rubbish to get rid of which is a shame as the 'box' would have been a very popular shelter for the dogs

Having seen a Caravan Derby at a banger racing meet I dont know if the bodies have any strength without the chassis because after the first corner there are really only chassis left and the bodywork is er laying around the track at various collection points
