hi,im about to travel to oxford on sat to pick up my long awaited project.i won the car on ebay i went a bit over my budget but was desperate to get hold of one.my only concern is that i did the text check with the vechicle reg,and it came back as not known by the dvla.the owner tells me he has the log book shud i have any doubts is this going to be a problem.thanks for your time cheers simon.

its not nessecarily a problem, although it should set some alarm bells ringing.

How long has the car been off the road? Does it have a V5c or a buff logbook? I suspect the latter, this means that it won't be on the DVLA computer.

Chances are you will have to apply to the DVLA for the registration back....
