Concorde Enthusiasts ...

Post by Orkney »

Well didn't I get a nice surprise in the post yesterday !
3 original photos of the inaugural test flight all bearing the sig of a certain Brian Trubshaw amongst others!
My dearly departed grandfather was a specialist engineer on the concorde build, already have a huge colour framed photo signed by pretty much the core of the team which was amongst his retirement gifts.
Never knew these 3 pictures existed until yesterday - parents clearing the attic before moving and sent them up to me :D
Dont have anywhere to put them yet but a frame will be made ! :D

I know Bill, My grandad knew BT through the build late stages up to test flight, bit of priceless family history more than anything else - could never part with them because of the history. Mind you 3 is a bit much ! Eagerly awaiting what else pops up now during the big clearout as i dont even think anyone knew these were there, apparently just got spotted going through old boxes of paperwork. Would have been a crying shame if they'd been overlooked and gone to the tip !
