One small point. Why were the Morris owners the only exhibitors that had to pay to enter? And yes it was a good event.

Yes, the car belongs to 8009STEVE who came along with Mary and Charlie. Perhaps Steve could post a few pictures for you.

The MMOC Regional Rally was a totally separate event, although joined to, the White Horse Show.

With the main show, funds are provided by the trade stands who naturally have to pay for stand space. This funding was not available to our rally and therefore the small charge of £6.00 per car went towards providing trophies, plaques, postage etc. This fee also gave entrants free entry to the main show which was normally charged at £7.50 per adult, a substantial saving.

PS What was your registration number Rasputin?

yeah bill's the one at the front with the long tail 8)

Thanks so much to all the organisers for a fabulous day, the Minors were definitely the high point of a show with absolutely loads to see and do. The Minors were in a separate field, off the main show field, and were organised immaculately in tight rows so that you didn't have to walk far in order to see every car there in all its glory :D

I particularly liked the way the concours vehicles were lined up at the point where you entered the field - a really eye-catching demo to people unfamiliar with Minors of just how great they can look

Only one van on the field (apart from Philip Horn's lovely concours van) - it got a lot of admiring looks from me! (I think most LCV owners were at the LCV gathering at the Great Dorset Steam Fair thingy?)

Thanks to Nicky and Ug and Andy for a most civilised teaparty, and to all the councours guys, including Roger, for sharing their knowledge and experience with the wild-eyed novice :D Only on the the concours line, and with BigGinger joining in, can you have a twenty-minute discussion about brass brake pipe clips 8)

Went home via Avebury (er.... slight detour  ), driving through the perfect summer evening after the perfect summer day 8) One to remember - thanks again to all the organisers

oh and the prize-giving was quite a sight with most participants sporting their SSBB T-shirts! :D

wibble xx

ps - to everyone who went - that is NOT how medieval living history is done!!!!!! :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

Thanks to you Juliet, and everyone else that attended the show, comments like this make it all worthwhile.

PS No problem with the T-shirts, a pleasure  :D

Shame, it would have been nice to have had a few more cars on the Club site. However I hope you are a member of the MMOC, as without funds it will be unfortunately cease to exist, as will this website.

some of the gate stewards did try to direct Minors into the field with what they called "the other vintage cars" - we only made it to the proper place by asking the guy to make more checks of the map they had been given...

Ah, that would explain why it appeared that some of those booked with us did not turn up. We thought that this might have been the case, although we did explain the situation to the gate steward, and if the entrant was showing our entry ticket they should have been directed to our field which was also signposted separately.

I have been a member of the MMOC for many years.I was only in the other field in my pickup as when I heard about the Uffington show ,I looked for information on their website and it said Bank Holiday monday was fully booked and I entered for the Sunday only .I didn`t realise until later that I could enter seperately through the club.Doh! Still it was a great rally nonetheless. :D
