Hi, When I wiggle the rotor arm in my distributer it seems to have alot of play. Is this normal, or should no play be found?
Kind Regards

Well it should be free to move slightly in the rotational axis, but if it has excessive side play, the points will tend to open further which reduces the dwell angle and thus the timing slightly. That said the A Series is happy running with a dizzy that is quite worn.
You can replace the top and bottom dizzy bushes, not a big job either.
