Probably my last post for a while.
I've sold my morris to a chap from Ballynilard in N. Ireland and was wondering the best way to get it to him from S. Devon.
It's a distance of 222 miles to Pembroke (ferry port in S. Wales), any readers live in Pembroke where I could get the car dropped off for a short while?
I don't fancy doing the drive so a pick-up by a transport company would be favourite, any recommends from Devon to Wales?
The new owner would come over on the ferry but it's still a long drive home, he may organise another transport, but I don't know for sure.

When I sold my Discovery the new buyer asked if I knew of a transport firm.
I quickly picked loads from eBay and the buyer was happy with the selection.
I think in the end the cost was approx £1 per mile so well worth the buyer of your Minor making the effort to collect as the fuel cost will be nowhere near £220.

actually it is motorway all the way, there really isn't an alternative unless you want to spend eight hours behind the wheel.
I think the easiest way is for him to hire a low-loader and drive down - that's what i'd do, cheapest and quickest.
Once I sell a car i'm really loathed to drive it, sods law says some moron will drive into you.
A bit of news, just bought an A30 so still got one-foot in the camp so to speak, picking her up tomorrow evening.

You got that right ! and theres the psychological thing too - if you think it will break down it probably will..... in the not long since got the trav its been ever longer short journeys in a kind of confidence building thing.Once I sell a car i'm really loathed to drive it, sods law says some moron will drive into you.
Shamefully didnt even dare risk the 25 miles or so to meet the LEO lot from the ferry - didnt trust it for that distance and there they were driven the full length of the country. Yup was quite ashamed
