Replacing rear 1/4 light window rubbers on a 2 door

Hi

Tracked down my leak to both rear window rubbers. Spent ages thinking I had a leak in the floor, that's now been eliminated by a helpful friend who pointed out (the obvious) that the water in the floor of the car was clean therefore it had to be the windows. Has anyone any tips as to the removal of the old and refitting the new. Aim to start this Sunday, wondered how long this type of job took.

just cut the old rubbers with a stanley knive, push the glass inside out
( use gloves, glasses etc).
fit the glass to the new rubber, insert some pull cord around the edge of the rubber, the type used on lawnmowers etc, any tool hire company will sell you some.
fit the glass/ rubber from the outside then pull the 2 ends of the cord away from each other. needs someone to push the glass from the outside, spray a little wd 40 0r similar onto the rubber.
the cord pulls the rubber seal over the window opening.
about 20mins a side.

The glass to seal join will probably need some sealent in or the seal will just fill with water and pee into the car.

Also when taking the glass out you will find 2 tags of metalto hold the seal. I just bent them out the way.

Thanks for the tips, sounds quite simple. My concern is that if it does not stop the leak, where could the water be entering from. The only other place I can see could be the wing beading between the wings and body shell. Does the beading seal the car or is it just decorative?
