okay, i spent the best part of forever doing the speedo cable, got it sorted...and it reads the wrong speed!!! now my dad mentioned something about this, but as he is away i can't find out what the cause of this is. or more importantly...a cure! please help...

Your speedo is calibrated to the original gearbox and diff ratios. The options are:
1. Get the speedo (someone did give Co. details for this job - but it may be beyond your pocket)
2. Change the gearbox and diff to 1098 spec.
3. Esablish how far out your speedo reads and remember/mark the real speed limits on the speedo face.

hi guys, i've tried pretty hard to find a site that makes sending away and getting a speedo recalibrated simple, and i'll be jiggered if i can. anyone help? i obviously am not the first seriesII owner to do this conversion, so cant be the only the only person to try and sort it! thanks moggy friends!

I used this guy, he recalibrated and serviced the unit.... for about £40 inc postage and was very quick.
