For some reason some of the connections have gone astray while I have had the engine out... I have 2 connectors on the alternator (not the big fat charge connection), 2 on the coil and the wire from the dizzy.
Now where should these all connect too? The negative side of the coil should connect to the black wire from the dizzy right? No point telling me the colours of the wires as the wiring on this car is excessivly bodged! Its going to get a new loom soon

Help! What connects there
Serial Morris Minor Owner and Old Vehicle Nutter
a wire from fusebox should lead the the coil, (which way round depends on negative or positive earth car) then a wire should go from the other coil terminal to the distributor. overall there should be 3 connections to the alternator, two of which usually join together halfway along. sounds like you are almost there, try fiddling with a voltmeter with the ignition turned on to work out what wires are meant for.
Good luck!

sounds correct yes. just carefully connect the battery when it is all wired up, to check its not drawing a huge current. if something is wrong you will get sparks at the battery terminal as you connect it.
