As I write this it's at 61.99 and 15.00 postage, this is a bit strange as you can by a brand new set off the shelf from bull motif (and probably other shops) for 51.95+VAT and 2.99 postage which works out a lot cheaper so why is someone willing to pay so much more for a 'second hand' one off ebay?
p.s. nothing against the seller, if you're reading, well done for getting the price so high!

There must be a fair amount of Minor owners out there who don't know there are specialists out there. Perhaps they entrust all thier work out to little local garages that can cope with the simple 'plugs and points' replacements but shrug their shoulders when it comes to cosmetic improvement. You'll find that ebayers frequently overbid on carpets, rubber trim etc.
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

Well maybe the club should be selling 12 month membership on a Buy It Now basis - probably attract a lot of new members who didnt know it existed. A good editorial on the potential saving and benefits etc - reckon they would fly out.
I'll help out if need be as ebay makes up 1/2 of my business know the ins and outs quite well.
The only thing that confuses me is all the 'new' sets seem to come in too many pieces.
The front and rear footwells are treated to seperate bits of carpet.
The carpet I already have in the car has one long strip either side that goes from behind the dash to the rear seat area. Why don't new ones do this? Surely it'd look better without the join.
wrt to ebay - they might be selling Newton carpet - this is a good tenner or so more expensive than anyone else's.

But the others are made to the original pattern which if you are a concours entrant or just want your car to look just right is the only type to fit.

I would agree that we need to get the message out to those not in the 'circle' if we are to attract more members, and I will take all suggestions on board.

it has been suggested... but it was a while ago. Hopefully the club will move that way in future.

Thanks, that's the reply I was after.
I'd always assumed mine were the original fit given how knackered they are... I thought it was daft to replace them with 'cut' items.
