Web Rally OCTOBER 6th and 7th BREAKING NEWS
Thanks Matt!
I've no idea how that happened. Senile moment I guess!!
Lets start again October 6th and 7th;
Ok first of all - no offence, BUT please don't moan about the location.
Having said that let me continue, October 6th and 7th (Friday night as well for the campers) North Bedfordshire 7 miles north of Bedford on the A6
A sort of Activity Weekend.
Meet at the country park for lunch. A scenic drive through the villages. Perhaps some boating on the river or a picnic Then hit/miss a few clay pigeons or a trip to the local garden centre for afternoon tea.
Then for those that want to do so camping, perhaps a barbeque and some table tennis. A short walk to the village pub.
Sunday morning more of the above or repeat anything you missed out on.
If there is interest you could go sky diving in the local wind tunnel, but I know you'll have to book that soon because it is very popular. http://www.bodyflight.co.uk/ NO not for me!!
Bring the family and friends.
I think my friend who does bodywork has room for about 8 or 9 tents on his approved site.
And there are showers and toilets!!!!!
Or just come for the day Sat or Sunday. There is a local pub/hotel that may have rooms available.
I'll need a few helpers so form an orderly queue.
Roger

Saturday 6th October is a RWYB day at Santa Pod.
see http://www.santapod.co.uk/e_rwyb.php
I've never been. Its £10 entry and £20 for as many runs as you dare.

Ok
Today I've driven round a scenic drive 18 miles and crossed the Great Ouse five times!
I have spoken to my neighbour about Clay pigeons.
The church warden says he'll take people up the church tower to see the view. - I've never been up but because its very flat here so the view should be good.
The local Garden centre has plenty of parking and a coffee shop so I will speak to them about meeting there on the Saturday morning.
There were several little boats and some people swimming on the river today its quite safe and I have a few buoyancy aids. The village has a slip way and a couple of green spaces next to the river. I only live a few 100 metres away so we can soon fetch my canoe and dingy.
My son tells me that the pub near to the campsite is just about OK!
If anyone wants to stay bed and breakfast there is a local pub type B&B I'll check up on the rates later. Otherwise I'll be looking for firm numbers soon to book the camping.
There is a country park in one of the villages I thought we might go there on Sunday morning for a walk and some Lunch at the tea shop before people go home.
All I need now is to know who wants to come which day and numbers for camping / B&B.
Its just off the A6 a few miles north of Bedford town.
