Looking for details about my Traveller

Post by GottfriedKnoebel »

Hi folks,
I bought my Traveller in France last April. As it was one of the last cars buit at Adderley Park, I did not succeed in getting any informations from the Heritage Motor Centre, as the build records did not survive. So I am trying to get any informations about my car, which is now registered in Germany, where I am member in the local MM Community. Some details which might help to track the history of the car:
Built in 1971 - Chassis no. MAW501293694F
Original colour was Trafalgar Blue - the car was repainted into dark green. I assume this was the colour in which the car was transferred from GB to France around mid 2001.
Plate No: OHK 412 K
the last licence issued was valid until 04/2002 issued in Chichester West Sussex - no 4 1729832
I have a copy of a Valuation of the vehicle issued in May 1999 by Mid Sussex Minors. Unfortunately John Merritt, who signed the Valuation did not remember the car.
The car may have belonged to an owner of a Music shop in the a.m. area. On the left rear door there must have been an advertisment for this
store which still shows faintly note lines and notes.
I would appreciate, if anyone could get some details about the former owners. By the way, the car is again in perpect shape. I could send some pictures, if this would help.
Thanks in advance for your help and assistance

I had a K reg trafalgar blue traveller in the early to mid 1990's when I lived in West Wittering near Chichester but I can't for the life of me remember the registration number or anything unique about the car. I think it was actually registered in 1972. It was in reasonably good shape and I sold it on quite quickly, again I do not have record of who to.

Good evening,
Maybe I was able to get on the right track.
Does anybody know Colin the Window Cleaner, in Bognor Regis,
who is also known as an Magican and Clown. It is said, he also restores
Travellers and owns one currently.
Does anyone know his surname and / or tel.-no?
Have a nice weekend!
Gottfried
