Date For your Diary

Post by RogerRust »

Saturday 24th November 2007 MMOC AGM

Here's a date for your diary, book it now and no excuses. Plenty of time to work round it.

If 20 people turn up from the mesage board group and 40 others we will have every opportunity to raise our profile.

So I say "make your vote count" and "if you don't go then don't moan about the outcome."

Roger.

Can't one person from the message board collate said 20 (or however many) peoples views and present them all to the committee ?
The message board is such a vocal force how about appointing someone as a board 'rep' for such meetings?
Provided someone wants the job of course..

Yikes! Wossat, the modern version of sending the Christian to the lions?

And for the earlier 'clue would be nice' post, I'm guessing he's referring to the somewhat missing location for it!!!

What on earth is so scary about it? AFAI can see, the problem would be deciding which views to present, and the backlash from those who felt that their point was far more worthy. A new thread, nearer the time called for, maybe.

I think my Traveller has a small amount of backlash in the diff, hence the odd slight clunk when moving off.

I'm sure the committee would be delighted to act on that on your behalf.

Would be nice if they did! ;-) BTW, the East kent branch are usually represented at this meeting by our chairman. I'd like to raise the point that the National club should do more to support the branches. It sometimes feels like the local and national are seperate clubs!
Cheers John - all comments IMHO

Is there a system where people can go to their local MMOC branch, raise an issue and then have it championed on their behalf by that branch's representative at the AGM?

That way those of us who couldn't undertake the long drive to the AGM could instead take a shorter drive to our local branch and still 'be counted'.

Yes, join your local branch and find out who goes, then write it down for them. Or join the committee and volunteer to go to the AGM.

Jesus wept - is it compulsory to attempt to alienate the readership or do we pay extra for that?

Nope, but I just can't help myself when the (to me) obvious is stated in response to a comment I've made as if it hadn't occurred to me. Sorry to hear you feel alienatad, I'll do my best to ensure it doesn't happen again
