Might be a nice idea to clock where everyone actually is on a UK Map!

If I was to undertake the project to plot all the owners onto a map for the MMOC

so if you would like to be included on the map with your login name by your car (see example below)

Please add your login Name-Town-County the list below (separated by a - please.)

Example
Heathy12-Exmouth-Devon
Brian-Edinburgh-Scotland
Chickenjohn-Margate-East Kent
Onne-Napton_on_the_Hill-Warwickshire

(Sorry Guys,Names taken at random for example! Their in your user names but take em out if you dont fancy it)

If your unable to copy & paste use Quote & add your name to the bottom

& don't worry the little red car that will apear on the map is not over where you live just the nearest town so its just a guide and rough idea of where abouts a member is based, no streetnames addresses or postcodes!

Does seem a better way, considering our locations are stored somewhere.. provided we filled them in. (though an annoying number of folk tend not to).

Also what if some folks don't want to be included? You have to let them opt in as oppose to opt out ;)

Did you not say the 3 under you were randomly selected? Maybe they should be removed until they opt in if you get my drift

Not everyone might want to be included so I think this ways best.

There'll also be people who aernt members anymore on the user group i'd imagine so pointless really as we only really want active members.

When I get a fair few names and places I'll break the Uk down into regions and start listing you all up then post the maps up.

Well done Lee! Didnt think this'd catch on so good to see it has!

Can also be a good guage for planning Mini meets and get toghethers as well by actually seeing where everyones based so you can pick an area common to everyone. This club dosent have half enough web gettogethers IMO!

A very limited number of people have access to the data base - not the moderators. There are also data protection implications, I'm guessing - and I'm one of those who does not wish to be on a list. Probably all OK as long as the info is volunteered, but IANAL
