659 FLO, Convertible - History in Malta required

Post by Julesgti »

Can anyone help me?? I bought a Moggi Convertible and I'm fortunate to have the original, tax document (before the V5 etc came in - not sure what it is called) on the document it has details and a stamp refering to it being imported from Malta in 1962. I know I can get a Heritage certificate to find out when it was built (I'm presuming not 1962 as it was imported then) but that other sources are there to find out the history of a vehicle??

Hope someone can help. Feel free to call me on 07990586980.

Regards,

Jules

Hi Jules there is a sometimes poster on here called Frank who is in Malta maybe he can offer some advice, so I am adjusting your title to draw attention to it.

Hi, I am sorry I can't help you much probably the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust can help you more if its the date of build you want, in Malta if you want history of a vehicle you can just plain forget it! the transport authority is the least efficient department of the inefficient government deaprtments I have been trying for ages to get the original registration of my van when it was imported from the UK but in vain, but still I will try contacting the department and see what help I can get. what I also know is that for some time many British vehicles were built in Malta but Morris Minor as far as I know were not built, those included where the Marinas, heralds and 1100/1300 range and hilman hunters
