just a quickie, when pushing the clutch down the brake lights come on?even if i hold the brake pedal up while doing this, whats the best way of adjusting these?and what temperture does your moggys run?mines always at 60 deg,ive fitted new thermostat and still the same, would have thought 80 would be more like it.

If the brake light is coming on even when you hold the brake pedal up then I would have a look at where the wiring loom passes the pedals under the floor,It may be that the loom had come adrift and dropped onto the cluch mechanism and worn through allowing the circuit to be made when you press the clutch pedal. Can't think of anything else,a siezed clutch and brake shaft could cause it but not if you hold the brake pedal up to prevent it moving. Have a look at the loom could also be dangerous could short out and cause the loom to burn out.

As for the running temperature are you sure your gauge is 100% accurate? They weren't fitted as standard (so I don't know how hot mine runs) so maybe your gauge/sender aren't matched. Did you fit it yourself or is this mod by a previous owner?
