Oldest Original Minor

There is a thread I noticed asking what the youngest Minor is, and for a while I was wondering if anyone had or knows what the Oldest Minor is ????

Or more interestingly what the most Original Minor is - ie the Minor with the fewest or least repairs since manufacture still on the road. I'd say some people would have one of two projects in garages or whatever, but I was just wondering if such a thing still exists these days as all Minors will have needed some new parts at some stage in its life. Hard one to answer maybe .. ???

There was one at the Northern rally that had close to 250000 miles and had never been welded, guy from Liverpool, must have been through a hell of a lot of sets of points, tyres, exhuasts etc. I suppose the main components engine box axle and body need to be the originals.

Is that the first production model, or the first prototype?

I believe its the first one registered for the road.
It was seen by a few of us during a visit on an earlier website rally, someone should be able to post a photo

Those photos of one of the original owners where really cool. A really good part of the cars history. On Gerties (62 Saloon) registration cert I have her first owners name and address (from 1962 - 1982) and I have always ment to track her down, living or dead, but never got round to it. Must do it some day.

Certainly looks a winner. Can't get more original than that, apart from the museum or similar examples.

that was in 1974 i think a 2 door painted in non original green. 'N' reg i think?
