Temp gauge sender

Post by southerly95 »

I seem to have acquired two new senders and not sure which one is for the Morris Minor. Ref's are XTT 11 and XTT 15, does anyone know which is which? Thanks, John

I imagine one of them will have the wrong screwthread, carefully try fitting them, one of them will get very tight after one or two turns, dont go any further if this happens. hopefully then the other one will fit ok.

As a Minor was not fitted with a temperature gauge as standard, and such instrument must be an add on. It is possible for different gauges to have different characteristics and therefore require different senders. If a sender fits then it may work, but if the readings seem strange don't panic and blame the engine, just get a matched gauge and sedner.

Thanks, the threads appeared identical in terms of pitch but on trying them one did fit and not the other. No leaks anway and hopeful that they will match, thanks for the advice, John
