Unleaded Head

Hi,
i have a 1275 marina engine and want to know if a cylinder head off a 1275 mini Mpi (unleaded) will fit straight on i know i will have to use the mini water pump.

MPI is that an `A` series engine ?

mpi is short for multi point injection. the later A series minis had them. I have never seen one before, but I do know they are different from the normal "carb" heads, sorry I do not know if it will fit.

Yes it will fit fine - however you should know that these heads are v much sought after by MPi owners and sell very well on ebay!! They also have no take off point for the temperature gauge.

I think they also have an alternator bracket on the head, as the MPI mini used a different alternator for some reason.

They do - but it can just be ignored. These sell for serious money - very much sought after to modify MPi engines for more power because a 'standard' head can't be used. It also won't give your engine any extra power. What you really really want for your Marina engine is an early MG Metro head - with the bigger inlet valves.
