trafalger blue

Post by steve4063 »

had some paint made up yesterday in celly.

took the glove box lid in and he matched the blue perfectly
normally all the trafalger blues you get from suppliers have a green tinge.

the code is BLMC-37BU if anyone needs to get any from Jawel paints in the midland they supplied it.

cost me £90+vat mind for 5 lt in 2x2.5 lt tins so i can keep some for a while

Wow - that's costly - but you will only need one tin to spray a Traveller!

I think paint code BU-37 is what BMC/BLMC used for both shades of Trafalgar Blue, hence the confusion. I've been told that if you ask a paint factor to mix up that code, they'll supply the earlier (pre-1967) shade, which is the one that has a very slight green tint to it.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.
