Rocker set up

Post by southerly95 »

I am putting a later set (sintered) of rockers on our 65 moggy and have replaced the shaft with new one. The locking peg on the old shaft was in the first block but is at number 2 on the later set. The new shaft had two holes for pegs so I guess it doesnt make any difference? Oil can flow through the block into the shaft ok. Thanks, John

You must make sure that the pillar with the hole drilled upwards to the shaft is positioned over the oil delivery hole in the cylinder head - and is plugged at the top to ensure the oil flows into and along the shaft to all the other rockers. the new sintered rockers may need some slight re-aligning to make sure thay are acting directly on the valve stem tips - but otherwise they will be fine !
