1965 traveller main / dip beam headlamp

having a spot of headlamp trouble too: blue light on dashboard is on - indication main beam, if I'm correct. Trouble is, this is actually less bright than when it's supposaidly dipped ie blue light is off.... any ideas please?

check the wires are on the right way round did that the first mog i ever restored years ago took it for an mot and he had to wire all the lights up properly for me :oops: bless him

if theyt are ok and its a sealed beam light try another as it may be faulty

They're connected correctly according to the wiring diagram... starting to wonder if the dip switch might have been refitted at some point and is the wrong way around - is that possible?

Yes very possible, try switching the connections on the switch
