Pattern Clutches? And where is it Mr Courier?

Post by dunketh »

Anyone have an opinion on these.
Mine just (Moderated by Andrew) itself today and I can either spend £50 on a pattern kit or £80 on B&B branded gear.
Trouble is its too much of a difference to just say 'sod it' and spend the extra money...especially seeing as though the 50 will be hard enough to find!

Go for the Band B one,the cheapoer ones have been nothing but trouble despite the denials of the trade.

Cheers. I feared as much, especially as the 'pattern' product seems to ashamed of its pedigree to even mention a manufacturer.

Damnit.

Its 4:30 pm and still no sign of my new clutch...

I contacted ESM and they said 'we deliver up to 6pm'

I hope they do!
Trouble is being in the middle of no-where always makes me the last stop, which in 99% of cases means the drivers cant be arsed to come all the way down here so conveniently lose it in the van til the next working day.

That said, ESM and their couriers have never let me down before.
Fingers and toes crossed. Got the crane, got the 'borrowed' driveway, got one knackered car with grinding clutch. Just need the new bits now....

Looks like more loft work to be done instead - and I'll be carless for a whole week!!!

New clutch is now next weekends job.

If you NEED something for sure - it's better to get Royal Mail to do it as a signed for next day delivery.
