Hello! Used to belong to the MMOC years ago - pleased to see it go digital! Have a 1962 Black Morris 1000, Bess.

However, she failed her MOT - needing 'extensive welding' that the garage not prepared to do (grrrr).

Which forum should I post in to ask if anyone could recommend someone in North Yorkshire?

Many thanks - and hello!

welcome to the forum!

cant really recommend anyone in yorkshire I am in the east riding and the welding i had done locally was not very good. But there are plenty of good places, you might need to go a bit further afield thats all. or buy a mig and have a go yourself? I would post in the "bodywork" section about the welding.

Good luck,

Try contacting the local branch to see if they have any suggestions.

Good morning, isn't it lovely out there?

I'm currently living near Wetherby - but in the process of moving to Malham - house there has a lovely dry garage for Bess. I took her to a place in Kirkstall, Leeds who said that they would be able to do the welding on her - but estimated the work to be 250 quid or so.... Ouch...

Hey ho - she is on the road (no pun intended) to being back on the road - hurrah! :P

£250 the repairs cant have been that extensive then as down here a half chassis leg would cost around £160.
Cheers
