STEVE, not necessarily, the piston seal can leak and allow fluid to pass it and return to the reservoir. The piston rubber seal is NOT the same as the secondary seal which stop fluid escaping to the outside world! Looks
as though your washer is to blame since you say there is a healthy flow.

has anyone mentioned the "wear ridge" in the master from years of normal pedal travel, and teh effects it has on the seals when bleeding yet?
