Wet Feet

The front windscreen is leaking at both of the lower corners. I get a wet right foot when it rains - any suggestions as what to use to seal the screen. I know not to use silicon from reading other posts.
I am also getting a wet left foot from a drip that comes down near the clutch pedal - any suggestions where it can be coming from? I don't have anymore spare socks left! Help.

Through the holes the wipers poke through is pretty common.

If you intend to keep the car any length of time, I would remove the screen and make sure that the appeture corners are not rotten especially if it has leaked for some time. Once these corners go it's messy repairing them.

I noticed that too with my car yesterday.
I'm going to use a non setting, black, mastic.
I doubt B&Q will have anything suitable so it'll be off to a body panel supplier to see what they can offer.
I think windscreen fitters sometimes use such a product.

There is a specialist windscreen sealing compound that you might be able to buy from your local windscreen depot, or Frost sell the same stuff.

The left foot leak could be from one of the hoses which connects to the heater. This would show up as a loss of water level in the radiator of course. If not and it is coming from the bonnet hinge hole you will find it very difficult to reach the offending nut. Tie wire to the spanner because if you drop it it will disappear down inside the A pillar.

I had a leak that was a bit of a puzzle and gave the wet sock symptom. I'll describe the path it took -
Water in at gap at the back of the bonnet.
Water ran down firewall into battery recess (note - there was no sealing strip at the top of the firewall at the time).
Water ran under the battery through two holes there to drip onto the parcel tray.
Water pooled on the parcel tray and eventually found a hole and then onto sock.
Fitting a firewall strip fixed this problem. Now to work out the leak from the middle bottom of the windsreen rubber (new).

The first thing to establish is if the leak is between the glass and rubber or rubber and aperture.

any suggestions where it can be coming from?

2 handed is the best way to try and locate it one to spray the water and one to be underneath the dash, if its really difficult to see remove the front seats for better access as its only 4 bolts.
