My Posts are causing offence?

Post by RussLCV »

Moderating Team

Tonight I have had a PM from Gareth Williams, which I not happy about it makes accusations that I have had and I quote ‘While I can understand your laudable intentions in documenting and publicising the history of the LCV, I must stress that such advertisements (of which, this is one of several over the last few months) are not appropriate on the public forum.’

I have requested the posts from Gareth within minutes of getting the PM and I have had no response. Can someone advise me of the posts and why there appears to be total support in the forum where I posted indicating I have done nothing wrong. Another person mentioned my name and no PM to him. So please let me have a response as this can only drive another wedge between the Minor LCV Register & MMOC after all the good work that has been done!

I am not a moderator, but I have absolutely no problems with your posts. You share a lot of valuable information, which we should be lauding not criticizing.
But I suppose that I have a secret weapon for posts I am not interested in, I just pass them by and don't read them.

Maybe I am biased, as I am restoring a pickup (ute) but please keep posting.

I have read most of the posts that you have submitted. Afterhaving read them, not once did I realise that you are a trader, as I have not read them as adverts. Keep up the good work.

Russ
Difficult to pass comment if you have been censored, from what I see on that thread I would not say you were advertising. Its no worse than others mentioning Vizard tuning book or OB's Marina to Minor, or even pointing to ebay adverts. If you were a trader I could almost see the point for care. You can apreciate how dificult it is for we traders to phrase our comments in such a way, that they do not seem to be adverts for our company, or too disparaging to other traders.

As I have previously said, the public forum is NOT the place for the discussion.

Thread locked. Further attempts at opening the discussion on the public forum will be dealt with in the same manner.
Happy Minoring!
