I don't mind either, but forcast is to be chucking it down from midday onwards, so not sure if we can all huddle under the car port!!!

I guess we can always meet at the pub and if the weather is poor take it in turns to look at the car :-)

this is the place I assume....

So, Obelisk tonight? AA reckons it will take me 40 minutes to get there so I'm very unlikely to make it by 8pm.

When I make it, I'll ring somebody to find out where you are. I'll need an address if you're not at the pub as I don't know that area of Southampton at all.

If you step out of the pub and turn to the right my road is the next on the left about 50 yds away.

nice pic Jim.

What a fantastic evening, I especially enjoyed the cabaret which consisted of the drunk landlady strolling over and trying to extract money for a charity run. We were happy to give and she amused us for a good 20 minutes with very drunken banter. At one point i was quite afraid of what she might show us! or say!

a grand evening and a well recommended pub, esp if the landlady is on a night off with a drink or two ;-)

My garden would fit the bill. And we could retire to the driveway for a quick engine change. It's about time SADMOG evenings got dirty 8)

I have had such things planned for a while, but have lacked the time to prepare. I shall have to call for a SADMOG family barbecue and car day.

As for this week, I don't think I'll make it. We have friends arriving from Manchester sometime in the evening, and I thinks it's slightly discourteous to be in the pub when they arrive after 4-5 hours' journey :-)
