Post by Rasputin »

Has anyone here bought a reversing light switch kit as advertised by Mr Grumpy? Does it work? Is it easy to fit etc..as I have an original 1960`s reversing light that would look great on my pickup!!

Does the kit use a switch on the dash, or does the switch screw into the gearbox somewhere and operate automatically?

From memory it is a small microswitch that mounts at the base of the gearleaver. It is automatic.

How much was the kit? I'm really intruigued now!!
How did you mount the reversing lamp? On a bracket suspended beneath the rear bumper?
Happy Minoring!

Hello Gareth,Just saw your last Mail,--The kit i fitted came from Mr Grumpy's-Todmorden,Price was about £20,I slung it under the back blade of my traveller after fashioning a bracket from steel,Once set up its really great,A most useful aid-and it looks pretty good as well.Best of Luck-Twinkle & Bill.
