DOMI vans

Post by paulhumphries »

I'm intrigued but the DOMI vans.
I DON'T want to find one to buy but am just interested in reading / looking at further information.
I'm finding there is very limited references to them on web sites.
In fact all I can find is -
http://www.morrisminoroc.co.uk/modules. ... 1&thold=-1
http://www.austin-rover.co.uk/index.htm?denmarkf.htm
http://www.morris.dk/dansk/domivan.html
plus a few misc photo's.

Anyone know more details (and especially photo's) ?

Thanks.

Paul Humphries.

I doubt that you will ever see a DOMI van for sale anyway Paul, they are very very rare

Like I say I don't want to buy one - even if there was one for sale.
I've yet another stupid idea going though my head.
Normal steel van backs often needs serious attention so I fancied a fibreglass versions.
The DOMI vans look so stylish that I've this silly idea developing to assess if it be feasible to make a "look alike" style replica.
A lot of work but dreaming doesn't cost anything hence want top read and look at as much as possible.
Anyone know how the DOMI back body was produced - ie fibreglass, all steel, timber frame clad in alloy etc ?

I think there was a company who did something similar in teh early 1990s but cant remeber who.

I believe that fibreglass van backs are still available, but I could be wrong.

Paul

I compiled a feature of this van for Minor Monthly (as well as the Swedish & Norway versions), however sadly under EXCLUSIVE items, Minor Matters are not interested in using them, as they only wanty exclusive articles.

However all 3 version have featured in articles in the said magazine, classic van, Minor Commercialand both my books...................hope that this helps. I did send you details of my book when you enquired about joining the regsiter.

Lastly visit my site there are a few images there as well of the DOMI

Anything you need to know about them just ask

Regards

So after a few days when you know where you can get the information I will just edit out the words of the magazines names & 'my books' although I have not given titles etc....................still I exoect 'Big Brother' are watching this post and it will be removed

oh forgot to metion Austinpick-up must be in contravention of the board as he mention my name and my books!!!!!

So in future I just have to say in books...............rather than where and what books......................So Why was it only me who had the PM from the Moderator. I thought I would ask on the forum as I have written to moderator and not had a response. I shall post the PM I had soon

Thread locked.

There is currently an outstanding dispute with RussLCV, and the moderating team are working to ensure an amicable outcome within the boundaries of the T&Cs. This is not the place for that dispute to be discussed.
