a tale of a morris minor exhaust

Post by aupickup »

well i decided i would buy a brand new stainless steel exhaust, well it would not fit, all the bends were wrong and it touched the engine bay floor , well the very nice guys at the morris minor shop said thats ok we will change it, although it had been fitted and run.
so i thought ok, but i will have a mild steel one,
i fitted the mild steel one today and it fitted perfect, and i was so pleased about this well done guys.
but alas :( it blows at the weld after the box, oh well will see if the nice guys can do a bit of welding for me

There have been a few tales of exhaust problems. Can you factually simply state the manufacturer (not supplier) of the bits that don't fit? Thanks.

well the stainless steel one was a falcon one, very poor welding and did not fit at all
the mild steel one was made by walker, and is a perfect fit, length angles everything, tho on mine the welding was not as good as it should have been, but will get that fixed
