Post by Davros »

Hello all Message Board users . On behalf of both the Somerset and Devon branches i would like to invite you to a couple of events in the southwest Area. First the Somerset Branch is having its annual run from Chard Tesco car park to Sunny Lyme regis on the Dorset coast ( 155 miles from London). This is on Tuesday 17th July Meeting at the Carpark From 5:30 Departing at 6:15 .Finishing at the Carpark down by the Lifeboat station. Our friends from Bridport , And indeed anyone , are welcome to join us at Lyme.
Secondly Devon Branch are hosting their rally at Exmouth Rec (178 miles from London ) on Sunday 22nd July from 10:00. No entry forms , No passes just turn up on the day & Bring a picnic. This show is slowly growing and everybody is welcome nomatter what they drive. The only thing we do is rattle a few tins to raise money for the Devon Air Ambulance.
Look forward to meeting you all

The pulling power of a Turbo Diesel! The voices may not be real, but they have good ideas.

Hello jothina, yes I can confirm the date for the Exmouth as the 15th. I have asked them to change the date on the diary. But they haven’t yet. Since you’re in Somerset can we interest you in the run to lyme Regis on the 17th as well?

Hello Daniel Good to hear from you. Yes Elaine is still in charge. I’ll let her know you r still around. Have you heard about the thefts in the chard area? Look forward to seeing you on the run unless we can interest you in bringing the van to the Exmouth meet as well.

Who believes weather reports anyway. Despite the potential of rain i hope to see many of you down at Exmouth. Just head towards the town. Signs will be out. Kettle will be on :D

It was a bit wet on Sunday but it could have been worse. The weather for todays run looks better.
The Somerset Branch's run to the sun (Well Lyme Regis) is on this evening
To allow peaple more time to get there we have delayed the start of the run until 7:00 meeting from 6:00 onwards at Chard Tesco. Fish n chips on the beach anyone

Unfortuantly i think the weather put some peaple off which was a shame as it was a lovely evening down on the Cobb at Lyme Regis. Thank you to the cars that did turn up including the peaple that came from Dorset. :D
We will have another run next year
