Did my own 'extra' drive it day today in lovely sunshine, first time in 4 years the Moggy decided to give up the ghost miles from anywhere I threatened it that I would put it back in the garage and get the Austin A35 out if it didn't start a swift thump on the petrol pump soon had me under way that let him know who's the boss
Uploaded a couple of photo's specially for Lou.... I know she likes the countryside up here
Lovely pictures Mal, looks like it was a very nice day out!

Very nice Mal, did you only take pictures when the rain stopped
Didn't take many pictures on 'National drive it day last Sunday' as it rained most of the day Bill That's why I had my own 'drive it day' yesterday ( any excuse ) and it never rained once Think I'll go out again today btw; I took 118 photo's if you want some more Bill
Lovely pictures Mal, looks like it was a very nice day out!
You'll have to come up this area Onne and have a look around
I don't think Bert would make it up some of those hills
Of course he would Lou
Pity you couldn't drive Bert up here for 1st July as there's a great show at Beamish Museum, I've already got my pass I went last year and as you know it's a fantastic day out.... (shhh.. don't tell Bill but it's free ) for driver and passenger
Have a good day
Thanks Bill, I did and went to Whitby for some fish & chips
I'm not so sure - she really struggled up that hill out of Brighton... mind you, now that I've done the points, coil etc she may show signs of improvement, otherwise I'm moving to Holland. Lucky you, going to Beamish, Mal
Don't forget though Lou, the air is fresher up here If you're thinking of visiting your folks up here around that time I can e-mail you a form for the show, all you then need is a SAE and hey presto btw.. it's free for driver & passenger but extra passengers only pay £5 each... not bad when you see the prices to get in
I'm sure you would like a photo of 'Bert' alongside mine in the famous High St
Sorry Bill
Didn't realise you were asking me.... I'm fully booked now for the season bit far though with my health but I certainly would have come down a couple of years ago I'm having to miss a show today as the wife had to call the doc; out to me on Friday doing too much flying around ( as usual ) still think I'm 21 so confined to barracks for a few days
Funny old life this... I never suffered a thing till a couple of years ago and once you get heart probs; everything else seems to follow on, lungs etc at least I'm not back in Hospital as it was exactly a year today since I was rushed in and on the old oxygen for a couple of weeks
Apparently this time it was my own fault..... if you look at one of the pictures in the initial posting, there is a nice shot of the Moggy next to a nice yellow rape-seed field I never give it a thought and was there a while taking several colourful shots... ah well.. you learn something new everyday

Actually with last years Southern Regional Rally in mind (and the 7 page article this achieved in Classic Car Mart), that formed a part of the Uffington White Horse Show, which in turn attracted almost 15,000 visitors, I would like to ask a question. How many of you feel that more of our events should be combined with larger, more general shows?
