Temp gauge -ve earth swop and alternator

Post by jollyroger »

Hi,
I am going to swop +ve earth to negative earth and I have read the worksheet - the car currently has a dynamo. There is a already a temperature gauge fitted - will I have to swop any of the wires to it?

I would like to do this before I fit an alternator kit - anything I should look out for when I fit the alternator kit?

Any help greatly appreciated.

yes, the temp gauge is effectivly a volt meter for the sensor so its terminals will need to be swapped over (just the measurement ones, the bulb does not matter)

When I fitted my alternator, the pulley was out of line so it needed a washer to aligh it.
