Check out their website at http://www.ccotp.co.uk/index.html
I attended last year in the convertible and there was a good selection of vehicles there in various conditions (mine being one of the less pleasing to the eye!
).
They normally have quite a good turnout with a lot of the entrants of classic cars shows that are held locally on sunday's ending up on the prom after the show has finished. There is no charge to register or display your vehicle but they do welcome donations on entry to help keep it going, but when you look at the price of parking on Bournemouth seafront in the summer, then a couple of quid in the bucket is cheap parking and right on the seafront at peak time!
The website also contains a diary of local events which is handy if you are local or just in the area for a break and need a classic car fix!

we went down to the Bournemouth classic cars on the prom today, was a nice event, lots of variety of cars and very busy. only one other minor there a Dorset car given a badge on it grill.
no event next weekend but we will be back again soon, makes a nice end to a day driving in the forest.
