Throttle return spring and freeze plug question????

Post by ben739 »

Where does the the throttle return spring attach to? currently i have mine attached to a bolt to maintain the tension.

Secondly, what size/advice can anyone give on replacing the freeze plugs?

the throttle return spring attaches to a bracket which is held in place by the manifold clamp

He's gone all American - I guess ! New plugs are just banged in with a smear of sealant round the edges of the holes (which need to be spotlessly clean and un-corroded) - the idea being to flatten out the convex outer surface slightly so the plug grips the hole v tightly. Wouldn't think freezing is likely to be much of a problem in Florida!!

When living/working there I did once ask my secretary if she had a rubber I could use!! Very red-faced girl said no!! Later it was explained to me what a 'rubber' is - and I should have asked for an eraser.

Yes someone I know moved there and their 10-year-old kid put his hand up in class and asked for a 'rubber'!

...and don't forget to ask for vinegar on the chips. Then wait for the secure, padded van to arrive :D

Apparently you'd get a similar response in France if you asked for "preservatif" for your Traveller's wood! ("conservatif" is what you should be asking for)
