The joys of Spring

The motivation has returned.

Fitted a wooden-slatted boot rack today, I've been meaning to do it for ages. I was so impressed with my efforts that I went ahead and fitted a new bottom radiator hose.

Grappling with old, rusty, stubborn jubilee clips was never a favourite chore of mine, but it's done and I managed to do it without impaling my fingers with a screwdriver, or uttering too many expletives.
All I have to show for my efforts are dirty fingernails and an aching lower back....and I'm already pondering my next little job, as long as the sun is shining, and the spirit is willing.

good on ya come and give me a hand if you find nuthingto do (restoring a convertible but you can not see it too much junk on top of it )

On the subject of bottom hoses, I know a chap who slipped when grappling with his jubly clip and sent his screwdriver plunging into the radiator causing a leak

I once got a bit overenthusiastic with the starting handle when I was about to set off back to Burnley from Middlesbrough and punched a hole in the bottom of my radiator, and I didn't notice until I got to the petrol station down the road and saw the water trickling out. Filled the radiator up again and drove straight back to the office. I wound up soldering a patch over the hole with a bit of help from my boss and one of the security guards so that I could get home.
