This auction smells fishy to me. The seller is a zero rating, the bidder IDs are secret, and somebody has bid a surprisingly high amount which happens to be below the reserve. Caveat emptor.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

The seller chooses whether to turn this feature on or not. Why doesn't the seller want you to know who else is bidding on the auction?8009STEVE wrote:This is a new idea from ebay. All the bidder gets is bidder 1 etc. The seller gets to see who is bidding.the bidder IDs are secret,

Its not British Racing Green, looks to be a darker shade of some perlecent colour. Its obviously been rebuilt and has nice seats but £7500 and not met its reserve?... its looking for a punter with more money than sence... If the rebuild is good, good luck to them its another moggie on the road.

It could be British racing green, as used on the new Mini, which is metalic. I'm not sure why folk believe the current price to be too high. If the vehicle has recieved a total rebuild to a high standard, which this seems, good door gaps ,straight panels (yes I know we cannot see the welding) but this work does not come cheap if done professionally. I'd reckon on between £12-18K may be more has been spent here, so for an example that 'looks' to be genuine article this represents good value to the prospective purchaser.
Would it not be an idea to offer the criticisms posted on here to the seller or question section on ebay, rather than speculate on why and if the seller has reasons to be dishonest, in a place where they may not be aware of the comments being leveled ie on here.

Thanks for that balance, Jonathan. I have been watching this for a day or so. As long as it is just a chat about people selling their cars on ebay I don't have a problem with it. I have also detected a bit of sour grapes here because it is such a nice example. However that is not againts the T&C's.
