Hey my 1959 Morris Minor still has the original wheel hubs with nuts that hold on my trusty wheels.
I have heard lots of stories about wheels working loose and bolts being overtightened and stripping threads and basicaly I am worried!!
How much pressure will these little old hubs take?? i often have 4/5 people in the car and i know that is allot of weight for that old little car and every corner I just pray that the wheels are going to fold flat on the road!!!!
Can you buy new hubs that have stronger bolts and nuts to hold on the wheels?? i would rather buy something stronger as I realy dont what by morris to turn into a reliant!

There is no problem with the safety of standard Minor wheels. You can buy new nuts and studs if you need to but you do not need to alter their specification.

Seriously though, the minor hubs and threads are more than fit for purpose, as long as you use the correct wheels (so the studs don't bend) I try and avoid letting people loose on em with air guns as well though. I say tighten them as much as you can by hand, and there should be no probs.
The studs CAN shear though. I've had a couple do that (when removing the nuts), and I *think* Onne has had one go while on the move. Front ones are pretty easy to replace, and the rears only slightly more tricky.
Yes, I had one go on Isabel, wasn't jolly that, but my own fault for not checking if the nuts were tight.
