I think everyone should put X-ply tryes on Just before I bought the little A35 last year the previous owner paid £160 for a new set of X-ply's.. Took a few days to get used to the experience ( again ) long time since we all used them.. but I find the experience makes very interesting driving, especially in the wet Total different when driving the Moggy on radials
i used to drive cars on x plys in the late 60`s and was glad to get shot of them
Why ??? I learn't to drive on them and as you say that's all we used to really have in the 60's.... it's a long time since I drove a car with them on but seeing as they are as new, I thought I'd keep em on.. it do's add a whole new dimention to driving though ( oh.. and memories )
I've had these Bridgestone 145's on Maude for 1 year now and apart from a scary 2 weeks with the old 165's on the rear i've not driven a Minor with anything else.
I'd say these are fine (and £1 cheaper than when I bought them from Mytyres ) And as the choice of 145's is now only these or Camac's I'd go for these every time.
If anyone else can get any other tyre make I'd be interested cos I tried for 2 weeks and could'nt get any other make.

Yes... them were the days, remember breathing on windscreen while driving in the snow on the way to work early mornings, scraping with fingernails to make a small hole to peer through
police then were more freindly, and they were doing the same to their panda cars
Yes, those that had panda cars, most were on foot or bicycles them days so they couldn't catch you anyway
Shouldn't be reminissing today... another year older ( I'm now 28 + VAT + a few more )
Thanks for my birthday wishes
I didn't get any new tyres though, but I've already got a few after all the steroids I've been on for well over a week now....( how do I find out if they're radial or x-ply )
No VAT.. just FAT this week.......
