Right... Actually it looks quite good, doesn't it. I've been looking through the site, actually- I like the look of that red split-screen that was taken by the bailiffs.

hummm

what do the rear doors hang off? I doubt the B post could support the weight long term just at the bottom? or is there a steel frame over the front door to B post? says it needs sills, and no photos of the doors open... I wonder why ;-)

I think the same 4 door convertible was sold on e-bay last year for a 'buy it now' price of £1,500. I agree with Rob - it would need a lot of chassis strengthening to prevent the car from sagging in the middle when the doors are open.
I like the look of that red split-screen that was taken by the bailiffs.
Have you noticed that the V5 document pictured actually belongs to a mini with the same registration and date of first registration as the Minor?

Its a problem i have seen before on Minor documents and comes from when they transferred the system from the original RF60 fold up type logbooks to the computer system. Its amazing that it goes un-noticed for so long isn't it! Its not hard to get put right as long as the DVLA have all the original microfiches for it still and doesn't normally require a vehicle inspection.

Hmmm. Well, that would make life considerably easier. What do people think of the rest of the car?

Yes, I did think of that... It's sad, really. Every time I go onto ebay and see all the miserable Moggies I just want to rescue them all... Sadly it is not to be. I think I might be suffering from "Morris Rescue Syndrome", a hideous and incurable condition in which if the sufferer is left unattended he/she will spend inordinate sums on suffering Morrises in order to purchase and restore them... The only cure is removal of money.

I can vouch that, contrary to popular belief, 'Carlo's house' is not made up of bits of tired old moggy.

jackkelleher, fortunately the condition is self-limiting; however, the limit can be quite high, especially when people give cars away for free ;-)

I'll say! I notice you have a Series II Landy on your wish list, by the way. We have one out here...

One of the disturbing things about my desire to move to Canada is there is a part of me which goes 'and think of all that space'...

...to keep cars in. Although, at the moment, the learning curve on the Viva is proving to be steeper than expected so I think once plans come to fruition (we hope) there may be a period of stabilisation and uh, building a nice workshop before I continue my quest to acquire lots of communist vehicles and classic brit-cars :-)

Well, it doesn't sound like there's much chance of it, but if you're ever stuck with a car you don't want, just give me a shout...
