But at least some our members still make the effort to attend even if work does its best to get in the way unlike some others in our branch, but that is an ongoing problem for all branches I am sure, but that is just a personal opinion of course

Four members of our branch attended Brooklands this year
Two of them were Lesley and myself
Edit - Actually this might be an opportune moment to emphasise the importance of using our cars as much as possible.
Some of you may have read 'Ray's Ramble' in the latest issue of Minor Matters, and have hopefully done as he suggested and written with your views on enhancing the profile of Morris Minor ownnership.
Some of you may also remember that this is a subject I raised some time ago on here.
In my own opinion, like Ray's example of the people that have approached him after having seen Morris Minors in the media, one of the best ways of promoting the car, is to get it seen by the general public. Out of those of you who use your cars as regular transport, or at least on a regular basis, how many of you have been approached by someone saying, 'I learned to drive in one of those' or ' We had one of those'?
Come on, don't just take your car out on 'Drive It' day, enjoy it, and let others see you enjoying it. You never know they may be a potential new owner, old or young

Too true Bill but I think most people on the board are fairly enthusiastic drivers anyway, its the rest of the Moggie community we need to convince.Come on, don't just take your car out on 'Drive It' day, enjoy it, and let others see you enjoying it. You're probably right. Maybe I should write a piece for MM myself, or possibly someone else will read this and do it for meKevin wrote:Too true Bill but I think most people on the board are fairly enthusiastic drivers anyway, its the rest of the Moggie community we need to convince.Come on, don't just take your car out on 'Drive It' day, enjoy it, and let others see you enjoying it. Funny that Bill, my wife says I'm very trying as well, especially when I'm wanting to mess on with the Moggy

Actually Kevin, having re-read a number of postings, it seems to me that there are a large number on here that apparently enjoy restoring them just as much as driving themKevin wrote:Too true Bill but I think most people on the board are fairly enthusiastic drivers anyway, its the rest of the Moggie community we need to convince.Come on, don't just take your car out on 'Drive It' day, enjoy it, and let others see you enjoying it.
