Will a Lucas 59D4 work well on a 1098 and a 1275 engine ? I have been offered a new one .

Pretty sure this will only fit the later A+ 1275 engines and not any 1098 engines.

yes it is different to a Minor one , it has a flange round the shaft and the drive tongues are wider
